Cost effective mobility solution!

A manufacturer of heavy plant used in the off-shore industry has solved a mobility issue by using ISO Towcastors, manufactured by Revvo in the Flexello brand name. After constructing the plant in the company works, the company had a major problem moving the completed 11 tonne machines into the yard for loading onto trailers ready for delivery. Inside the works was covered by overhead cranes as was part of the yard. However, the exit from the works to the despatch area of the yard was not. As the machine was constructed on a base modelled on a standard ISO container frame, the company were able to easily fit the ISO Container castors as they incorporate special adaptor plates, which lock positively by means of quick action securing screws, into the corner casting incorporated into all ISO freight containers. After fitting the optional tow bars, the company were then able to tow the machines on their journey from the works to the despatch area. A far more cost effective solution that hiring mobile cranes, which they had done in the past.
